Project summary
HUMAIN focuses on industrial research in two cases of complex production processes by means of enabling technologies that facilitate efficient, versatile, and quality digitized processes.
Such technologies include: Artificial Intelligence, Industrial Internet of Things, Robotics, and Computer Vision.

The consortium proposed two applications to work on:

CASE 1: additive manufacturing of metal parts including post-processing and quality control

CASE 2: robotization of packaging in warehouses, in a human-robot collaboration format

HUMAIN’s general objectives include:

Improve production processes with new methodologies, greater precision, and efficiency.

Facilitate the interoperability of systems and comprehensive management without specific knowledge.

Increase the flexibility of production processes with reconfigurable technologies.

In addition to the scientific-technological objectives, the consortium companies seek to increase the know-how of their personnel, improve working conditions in manufacturing environments by creating human-robot collaborative environments, and contribute to industrial and economic development through the adoption of digital tools and sensors.
